So, as read in other reviews the back pockets are stitched shut. Don’t not buy them for that reason. The back pockets are functional. The pocket bags are sturdy and about the size of my spread hand (larger than most). The shorts themselves; having looked them over but have not yet worn are sturdily built and of quality soft fabric being lightweight with just a hint of stretch. The inseam is 9 and 3/4 inches. Now those stitches across the back pockets, get a seam ripper; turn the shorts inside out and look at those back pockets. About an inch and a quarter from the top of the pocket bag you’ll see a stitch that doesn’t belong. It doesn’t go the entire width of the pocket bag. Take this stitch out, it’s all that’s holding that pocket shut and I think it’s intentional. I don’t know why the pocket is stitched shut but it’s a very loose and comes out in about 90 seconds per pocket. Whom ever spec’d this bit of sewing intended for it to come out. I’ve attached a photo of the offended stitch. Remove the line of stitching the seam ripper is pointing at.

Excellent quality, and I don’t need to add the “for the price” caveat. The fit is just right. Sometimes the big-tall shorts have very baggy legs, but that’s not the case with these. If I were skinny I’d still buy these shorts 😉

Most comfortable shorts ever! I bought a pair of these shorts because the doctor put me on a hormone that made me gain some extra weight. The quality and fit is without equal so I ordered a second pair. As is customary with some finer lines of clothes, the back pockets are sewn shut in the event you don’t use those pockets. I only use the left rear pocket for my wallet so it’s was very ease to use a seam ripper to open it up. After cutting a couple of threads the rest just pulls out easily.

These are my favorite shorts ever! They’re so comfortable they feel like a basketball shorts that are both stretchy and not hot. You don’t feel the synthetic material it’s just feels like soft cotton. They stretch and give, they hold up as I’ve been wearing mine nonstop for over year now (being that I live in the sun belt I can do that). Again, these are the best of both worlds, the comfort of a basketball short, the breathability of cotton and the looks of a dressier pair of shorts. If you’re looking for something extremely comfortable that doesn’t look like you’re headed to the gym this may be your answer as it certainly was mine!

I’m a big guy and I absolutely hate how most shorts fit that aren’t basketball shorts! Usually they are so big around the lower thigh/knee area it feels like wearing parachutes. These don’t “hug” your leg, but they do sit closer to it and form to your body properly. I’m buying a couple more paid for this next summer!

Nice shorts but were too tight in the butt for me. Rise is the distance from the middle of the crotch seam (right between your legs) to the top of the waistband. It usually ranges from 7 inches to 12 inches.
They fit well and were comfortable except there wasn’t enough room for my normal big guy butt, riding up and felt like I had to pull them out all the time.

Along with the big and tall performance series cargo shorts by lee these are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned . I ordered these because they did not have my size in the cargo shorts available anymore . These are the exact same shorts without the cargo pockets the shorts are extremely comfortable very roomy waist is very comfortable not tight and annoying. I wear theese to work . I work in aircraft maintenance and theese shorts allow me to move around with ease . If you are on the edge on wether to buy theese or not . Buy them! They are true to size order the same size you would normally wear in shorts!

Love the fit, love the look, very much hate how warm the shorts are!! So strange that I feel cooler in a pair of full length jeans rather than these shorts. They are just so darn heavy (probably why they lay so well) and HOT!!

Love the unique color and fit and wear. Stretch waist for movement without losing shape. Great for any outdoor activity such as golf. Looks great with anything from t-shirt to high-end button-down. I usually wear casual without a belt with shirt un-tucked and looks great. Always looking for more styles and colors.

These are basically the best short pant in the world… so comfortable. I am a large guy both in height and width – I have a hard time finding shorts that have the inseam that I want AND the waist size I need (why is it that clothing manufacturers make 4x shorts with 7″ inseams? I know ZERO people who need a 4x that are dying for a 7″ inseam). My only complaint is that these wear out a bit too quickly. I have 2-3 pairs in my closet at any given time and it seems like I am replacing 1 every 3 months or so. It seems a bit quick to me as they fit perfectly (ie not too tight) but I would rather buy multiple pairs of these than have to wear basically anything else I can find. I work from home and find these look nice enough if they get seen on a video conference, but are stretchy and comfortable enough to wear all day.

These are the best. They stretch, but not too much. They feel and look like regular khaki material, but stretch enough to roundhouse kick fools when necessary. I bought 3 more pairs in other colors and pants.
Also for the big guys. They aren’t ridiculously long like a lot of extended size “shorts” they land just just right on the knee not half way down your shin.

Bought this as a replacement for an identical product under a different brand that I’d purchased last year from JCPenney(that they quickly quit making). These are comfortable and have a nice stretch waist that doesn’t remind you of the “old guy” style of stretch-waist shorts. Please don’t quit making these, they’re my absolute favorite shorts!
