   I suffer from lymphedema, which makes one of my legs much larger in size than the other. Im able to wear these shorts. They fit well and have wiggle room in the legs. I grew up in the 80s/90s remembering that a lot of style in clothing was baggy. They have that style without being overly baggy. If you have conditions that you can’t fit into skinny jeans/shorts this may be for you.
   Only negative I had small tear that happen next to the zipper. Was able to mend easily enough. But otherwise enjoy them. Ordered 3 more pairs after the frist.

   These short were exactly how I hoped they would fit. And the quality is great and the price was even better. No complains really. The fabric isn’t tough but it has body like you would expect from jean material. I order larger than I need because there seems to be miscommunication between manufacturers and the warehouse as to what sizes are. But these were exactly what I ordered. Not a big deal I just belt it and live with it – but if you was a size 40 waist get a size 40 waist no need to pad the numbers. Please with my purchase.

   I love southpole shorts. They fit very loose on my girthy thighs while still fitting my waste without too much slack. My only complaint is the front pockets are very small. I have medium to small hands for a man and i can barely fit my whole hand in the front pockets. I love the shorts so much that i will alter the front pockets myself with pockets from an old pair of jeans and some tear mender (fabric glue) from ace hardware.

   I like the freedom your product gives me. Range of motion, comfort ability and style. I grew wearing southpole and as long as I can I’ll remain southpole.

   I disliked most that I had to order a size up to get the right fit. I’m 6’5” and over 400. Had I ordered my size of 50, they would not have fit. I ordered 52 and they were snug. Perfect. So BUYER BEWARE, you do have to order a bigger size to get the right fit.

   That is the only thing wrong. But a simple fix. 5 stars from me

    I’m usually a size 32 so that’s what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I’m 170 pounds and 5’10”. In my personal opinion, I prefer shorts to be a little longer than these, but its not that important. Still goes below the knee a little bit. Love these and they look great

    Update: After about a year of having these shorts, the only annoying thing are the pockets. To small to really be able to fit anything in them. I struggle trying to put my wallet, phone and keys in these products. And when I pull stuff out its difficult. Seriously really annoying pockets. I’ll be looking for other shorts. Yes I deducted 2 stars off my previous review, these pockets are the most annoying I have ever dealt with.

    first off the jean came on time quick and fast delivery. The jean is at a very good length i must add not thick but decent and its not thin ether very good quality but if u want a very good fit buy a size up.I normally wear size 36 in waist but i went with a size 38 and it fit great with just the right amount of space by my waist.

    This is the second pair I’ve bought. First pair I ripped whilst stepping over a fence, and those last 3 years. It’s hard to find shorts when you have a 36in inseam. Most of what I had looked like boxers. These fit very well and I’ll keep buying them as long as they keep selling them.

    Front pockets are too small. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Don’t know why changes get made two things that are already perfect. I Look to re-buy things that I have liked in the past and expect them to stay the same as what the original was. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

    Got the black pair. The difference in the black to light color on theses shorts is not like the image shown. It’s quite subtle. The fit is tight for me. I normally wear a 44 with a belt as I am more like a 43. I wear no belt with these and they are snug. Like I had to suck in a bit. After washing they are a smidge tighter. The length is below my knee (I’m 5’4″ and 3/4). Relaxed fit is comfortable in the thighs and butt. The black pair smells a little funny…but after a few washes it’s fine…just the smell of the dye used!

    true to size, they go below the knee, front pockets are just a little short, but still easy to work with.
    very consortium and roomy in legs. will most likely order a second pair.

    Love the fit and look of the shorts.

    Now the bad, in the few months I have had and worn these shorts multiple rivets have fall off. These were not put together well. I would recommend another pair of shorts as I have other pairs of South Pole shorts that do not suffer from this issue.

    Love these shorts. I bought a couple pairs in 2017. They are still in great shape. The pockets are a bit smaller than the South Pole shorts I bought 10 years ago but not a big deal.

    Quality seems to be back. I will include a pic of the new packaging. The previous pairs showed the white part in the pocket like there wasn’t enough denim so the white material showed when on. That is no longer an issue. The pocket is still smaller.

    My son is an odd size that I have trouble finding in the stores. In addition, due to his disabilities, he is unable to fasten and unfasten a belt – so… when clothes don’t fit perfectly, he can’t wear them. Yes, I know, elastic waste bands are an option, but it took him 2 years to learn how to do buttons and snaps, so he needs clothes that allow him use those skills. He looks great in these shorts and they fit perfectly.

    The shorts fit well and seem to be good quality. I ordered two pairs. The medium sand blue and the navy blue
    The medium sand pair I got was slightly lighter in color than the picture, but that’s okay. I am perfectly happy with the color, I actually prefer it. The navy blue pair has small front pockets, but otherwise, no complaints.

    Have been buying these for over 15 years. They are durable. They are comfy. They are great quality. Out of almost 17years with my b/f I have gotten him maybe 3 rounds of pants and shorts with southpole.

    While the waist fit as expected, the length of the shorts was surprisingly long and not what I expected. There wasn’t any mention of inseam length in the description or if there was then my bad for not seeing it. Overall they are ok to good interms of their overall fit.

    It’s a good pair of jeans shorts, but after a couple of weeks of regular wear, the button at the top of the fly popped out. It looked like it wasn’t anchored properly to begin with. I can fix the closure with a needle and thread, but it’s annoying that I should have to.

    Sizes are standard, not over or undersized and the pockets are plenty big. Not sure what all the small pocket complaints come from they are not small at all, and the back pockets are extra deep, same as they were many years ago. And you can’t beat 18 bucks a piece. Great quality and comfortable.

    I brought them for the color and size, but they are down to my lower calf, so they look like I have on elephant pants that are to short. Maybe I will just roll them up, but I do like them.
