I feel I have to add this review for those guys who are 5′ 5″ with a normal build. I am Asian too so at least that gives you an idea. I included a crop photo of me with my son to show how the short looks when paired with white sneakers.
Initially I thought I needed a 6 inch seam. A 7 inch seam is better. Not too long and not too short. This goes above my knees. I am used to cargo shorts that are bulky and long that go to my shin. This new shorts are a welcome change.

I can’t say how happy I am with these shorts. I am 5’5” and stocky. Having a shorter inseam (7”) makes these a perfect fit for shorter guys. The material is light and has a good stretch to it. They’re perfect.

I bought these shorts to wear while playing golf, and they work perfectly. Cool, comfy and stylish. After losing quite a bit of weight, I needed some very comfortable golf shorts that look nice too. These were perfect for that and I like them a lot!

It’s always a gamble to buy clothing online, but I rolled the dice with these khaki-colored shorts and I’m glad I did! Fabric isn’t too thick or thin, is relatively wrinkle-resistant, and has a slight stretch. I’m a 31” waist, 5’11”, and 165ish lbs. I don’t want my shorts to look painted-on or baggy looking and these shorts strike a great balance. Nicely fitted and the length hits just about 3” above the knee. Hope they hold up!

Overall
Overall, I am happy I found these perfect shorts. They are exactly what I have been looking for. I am happy to see the shorter length coming back into style. I thought it would be appropriate to provide a 1 year review, considering I am looking at ordering more in different colors for this current summer.
Fit
I am 6 ft, 165 lbs, with a slim build. The fit of these 7 inch shorts hit perfect at the waist and through the legs. I have a 31 inch waist, so I am in between sizes. I tried both a 30 inch and a 32 inch. I thought I could get away with a 30 inch since they have a little stretch, but they were too tight. The 32 inch ended up being perfect for me.
Material
The cotton and spandex blend feel and look like cotton, but provide a little bit of stretch. While they do provide stretch, they do not stretch out on you. I usually wear my shorts for a week or so before washing them and they stay in place day after day. After 1 year, i haven’t noticed any thinning or bleeding of the material. Still the same color burgundy as when I received them.
No –
I have been searching for a pair of shorts that are actually shorts. It seems the modern trend is that “shorts” all extend to or past the knee. No thanks. The length on these shorts is perfect.
Unfortunately, these shorts follow the other modern trend: clothing makers assume all guys have legs that are 4″ in diameter or less. These shorts are just too small in the leg openings. The waist fits fine, but as soon as you start to take a step, you can feel the uncomfortable resistance of the fabric against the front of your thigh. When you sit down it feels almost like wearing a pair of boxer briefs.
For reference, I’m 6′ and 195lbs, athletic build. I bought a 34″ waist. The waist fits perfect, maybe even a bit loose. I don’t have tree trunks for quads, but my legs are larger than a toilet paper roll. If you’re the type of guy who wears skinny jeans while sipping your latte at an art exhibit, these shorts would definitely fit you. If you’ve ever done any work with your legs, whether exercise, sports, or manual labor, you might have problems with the leg openings. If you’re the type of guy that never skips leg day, beware: you will probably look like a little league third-base coach with skin-tight short-shorts.

I don’t get it. What’s the point of shorts with a long inseam? Shorts should be short. I like a 7″ inseam, which these shorts are. Still shorts, but suitable for an old man, which I am. And what’s with the baggy pants legs fashion? Long, baggy shorts are why Mark Twain quipped “Fashion is a form of ugliness so repugnant it has to be changed every six months.” These shorts have enough space at the end of the shorts to move freely, but don’t make legs look like toothpicks or as though I’m wearing my father’s shorts when I was ten years old. Thank goodness these shorts are available in a terrific variety of colors! I’d stopped buying shorts completely because I couldn’t find an appropriate inseam. Keep making them! i’ll be back for more!

These shorts would be great if you didn’t have to iron them as soon as they come out of the dryer. The bottom part of the shorts will be completely wrinkled after a wash

Absolutely love these shorts…reasonably priced, just the right length, fit is true to size and they have stretch, a prerequisite nowadays. I am 5’10” at 194 lbs. and the 36 fits perfectly. I had ordered a pair to see if I like them and promptly ordered another after trying them for a few days. They look good after washing and haven’t shrunk. Finally someone is making a good product.

These were not what I was expecting and I was pleasantly surprised. I am around 225, 5′ 11″ with a fairly muscular build. Since I’m a little bit fluffy (around 20% BF) it’s hard to find shorts that are flattering to my legs (very thick thighs) without making my gut look terrible (too much beer). These have a great stretch to them, they are shorter so they show a lot of leg (if you’re not about that don’t buy these). They fit much like the brand “chubbies” fits. I feel the model in this picture does not do these shorts justice, unless everyone in the world has long skinny legs (not the case with me). At any rate, these fit great, if you like the Chubbies style (look up on Instagram or google it) then these shorts probably are not for you.
Five stars from me, my wife likes brighter colors so I’ll be purchasing another one for sure. Size is true to fit, I got a 36 and its great.

Love these shorts. They fit great and are about 2 inches above the knee. Now if they would only make swim trunks like they used to back in the sixties and seventies. And whoever dreamed up the ridiculous boxer-briefs combination must have been from another planet.

I cannot say enough good things about these shorts. The fabric is soft and stretchy; I feel like I could wear them to the gym on leg day. They’re a little snug at first, but it’s a non-issue because of the stretch. They eventually loosen up as you move in them and then snap back to a snug fit after a good wash. The fabric is breathable, perfect in the summertime heat.

In a word, these are perfect. I’ve been searching for the right pair of shorts for years. These are it. They are made of a very stretchy fabric, which not only makes them more comfortable, but keeps them from creeping down as the day wears on. Solid construction, very attractive, plenty of pockets, including a coin pocket, which is rare on shorts. These are my favorites. Just ordered three more pair.
