I dont really regret the buy, but I wouldnt spend over $20 for these. I bought the black and olive ones and the color is as expected. in terms of fit, I’m 5’9, 185lbs with a 32 waist. the shorts fit as expected. the 7 inch inseam ends well above my knee which is also expected, good in that regard. waist fits as expected. the strings are a nice touch. if you’re a chubbier guy I would skip out on these. I’m a 185lb weightlifter and i’m a little juicy and these are pretty snug. they are slim fit after all.
in terms of comfort, they’re just… tough. they are cotton but the short itself isn’t soft. the outside and inside have a very rough feeling, although the shorts are smooth. I don’t give them high marks for comfort. although I will add, you dont really feel it when you’re wearing them. you don’t actually feel the shorts roughing your skin up, so maybe it doesnt matter much. plus like I said, they are smooth, so they glide against your skin nicely enough. the stretch is fine. you have to be realistic with a cotton short. you’re not gonna get a polyester stretch with traditional training shorts. but I can pretty easily lift my leg all the way up onto a sink top with no issue. obviously the best testing method. so they do stretch pretty well.
Overall i’d give them 4 stars because they aren’t bad and are good enough for the money. I dont see myself justifying a 3 star review. but I’d still prefer if they were $20 cause they’re not a particularly great short and the value for the money isn’t great. if you can’t find any other shorts like this, then it’s probably worth, which is why I honestly might buy more.
Good fit. Average comfort as they are smooth. Good stretch but nothing crazy, as expected. They arent polyester after all. The waist string is a nice touch.

I own a couple of chubbies but they’re just too damn expensive. These are not as stretchy as chubbies but for half the price and the great fit, you can’t go wrong. I’m 5’7”, 270, with an athletic husky build, and thick thighs. I ordered the large and they fit like chubbies. A little tighter in the bulge but that’s nothing new for me, fellas.

These were great quality and I have washed them several times with no issues. My son loves them. He is a size 34-35 and these fit him well.

I’m a thicc dude—6’ and 280lb. The fabric itself is fairly stiff which is good if you don’t want it to get stretched out or look frumpy. But it isn’t especially comfortable.
My main issue with the shorts is that they never stay up. Admittedly I am a big dude, so I don’t have a flat stomach and bubble butt to hold up my shorts like the blokes in the model images. But I have a good number of other shorts (from Chubbies, Gap, Old Navy) that stay up on me bum. These CONSTANTLY SAG OH MY GOD and advertise my goodness to the world at large.
If you have self discipline and a BMI of ~25 or less, these may do the trick. But if you’re on the larger side, you’ve been warned.

Hi. My husband is 5 foot 6. He has thighs & calves like a weightlifter, so we have 2 challenges: short & thick legs. But, first let me cut to the best part: on the same day the shorts arrived, he decided to wear them to his birthday party. Great party, great food, and now we get to the cutting of his cake. He was cutting his own cake—he’s very good at things like this—and on the LAST piece (mine) which he was serving, he literally DROPPED THE ENTIRE PIECE on his shorts—-all the royal blue frosting and “confetti colors” smack dab on his shorts!!! We wiped it with the restaurant napkin and grumbled at one another for being so clumsy. Sound familiar, married couples??? Anyway, when we got home about an hour later, I used Spray n’ Wash and dumped them in the washer, following the easy care instructions. And, just like that, the layers of colored frosting (heavy on the blue), came out!! #impressed
Anyway, as far as the shorts, we went one size up to XXL. My husband is a little thicker these days, but the XXL’s are roomier and super good-looking. The quality is good and the shorts look very stylish. I highly recommend them and especially since they withstand a big frosting faux pas! 🙂 Good luck!

These shorts fit well, true to size. Good tough fabric as you’d expect from canvas shorts.
When I buy shorts online I like to know the size of the leg opening, so I am disappointed to not see it listed here.
The size medium shorts have a 23 inch leg opening. This does not qualify as “slim fit”.
The shorts have a clean fit, not big and baggy like cargo shorts, but not “slim” either.
Also it should be noted they do not have a fly. Neither good nor bad, but it should be noted since the photos seem to show stitching for a fly.

I couldn’t find the shorts I wanted at target or JCPenney. I thought I’ll give Amazon a try even though I usually never order clothes from Amazon. While the package arrived I was super curious to see how the quality would be and if it would meet my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to see how good the shorts fit me, and how well-made they are. I love the quality, and would absolutely order more. These are probably my new favorite shorts.

I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and fit of these shorts. They are very similar to the J. Crew dock short, but at half the price. They have a good fit with modern cut and inseam. I will definitely be purchasing more colors.

Eh, they okay. They’re so cheap that I didn’t return them and just wear them around the house while working remotely. But I won’t wear these out of the house. That’s not because they don’t look great because I think they look just fine, but these shorts are THICK and not in the good way. The material is thicker than any other shorts I own, which makes them the hottest shorts I own. I live in the South. During the Summer, when it’s hot AF and muggy as all get out, the last thing I want to wear outside is this heavy, thick, non-breathable pair of shorts.

OK, just got these shorts, wearing them for the first time, absolutely love them! I like shorter lengths to begin with, and wanted another pair of “house” shorts to wear around the house or in my workshop. Yes, these could be worn on vacation, shopping, etc., but I’ll probably use them just around the house. Very comfy (and they have not even been washed yet!), feel soft, just perfect. I’m 5’10”. 180 pounds, 34″ waist. Another review says they are tight in the crotch, and they do fit a little snug, but that is not an issue for me. Just what you like I guess. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go order another pair or two!

Perfect fit. I like the length. These wear a few inches above the knee, which I like. Material is a little course but durable. I now have the rust color, bright blue, and grey camouflage. Fits my waist as expected, I am a size 32 – 33 waist ( depending on brand) and I ordered a medium.

I’m 5’11 and weigh 180 pounds. I usually wear a 33in waist. These fit perfectly. The length hits about an inch or two above the knee. The leg opening isn’t crazy wide and they go great with a t-shirt and tennis shoes. They’re not baggy. The material is surprisingly thick (not a bad thing), but comfortable in 100-degree temps. They have nice deep pockets and survived 3-days at ACL without my phone or other stuff falling out of the pockets every time I sat down. I bought several pairs/colors.

I ordered a few of these in different colors and they are pretty much my go to shorts. No, I’m lying, they are exactly my go to shorts that I pretty much wear everyday. Prior to these, I was wearing another style of Amazon drawstring shorts but they were a bit baggy and long for me, but I threw them away after I got these. I like the shorter inseam and that they are more form fitting. A solid recommend and good comfy bargain.

It came with stains that I am not sure I can remove, I feel like I am wearing somebody’s else shorts that they just repackaged and sent it to me. I am returning this immediately but I will order another pair. I believe in second chances… but not thirds. S*** happens sometimes but this is business at the end of the day. 3 Stars.
I will say the fabric material is good and the comfort is there.

Definitely a 7″ inseam, but as long as you know what you’re getting. Not a lot of wiggle room in the shorts – so I wouldn’t call these a loose or casual fit. Waist size is perfect however. On a whole, the shorts seem extremely well made and durable. Wish they had some additional lengths and I’d buy a lot of these.

They fit nicely , and have a great color. I was afraid they mght be too wide at the leg opening based on my previous experience with Amazon brands but it was fine . The material is a little coarse but not uncomfortable . Overall i liked them a lot
