These fit great! Good for large muscular thighs. Love the fee of the fabric. Nice and cool. The mesh pockets are awesome and are good for preventing moisture build up on your phone screen on a hot day like some pockets. Looking to get another in a different color!

I purchased three different colors in these shorts because they stated a flexible waist. It does not so beware. probably returning them because they’ll be too tight. Otherwise, nice shorts.

I repeat…they do have a flexible waist! I highly recommend these shorts. In fact, the best shorts I’ve ever had. I bought 3 more colors. Buy these shorts! You won’t be disappointed.

The shorts stretch everywhere including the waist if you buy the size waist that you are it’s going to stretch out on you you will need to wear a belt but they are very comfortable and they are very heavy duty they look good for casual dress or working in the dirt.

These have been my go to shorts for years. I have a long torso, and shorts and trousers that sit just below the waist are not comfortable for me to wear. Recently lost weight, so needed to drop down a size and wenrpt straight for Docker’s Perfect Shorts. Love the mobile phone pocket, fit and finish. Just wish they made more colors with some elastane in them.

FIRST, I ordered these two waist sizes bigger than other shorts I wear. And they fit perfect. To be exact, I usually wear a a size 50, and I ordered a 54. I’ve just learned to do this with internet garments, especially Dockers and Levis. But also, this sizing issue is typical among men of girth. If you’re a 36 waist, you’ll likely be just right with a 36 or 38 waist with these.
The length is as advertised which is a couple of inches shorter than most dress shorts, as was noted in the product description. This is a great length for me at a very short 32 inch inseam. Though I am 6 ft tall. You taller, thinner guys may need longer. But the legs hit me right at the upper knee, which is so hard for me to find these days instead of the legs being down around my ankles. Cool!
The color is as it was pictured, which is always a pleasant surprise. It’s a little more dark-tan than Khaki, but that’s what I was expecting.
Now, the quality. I couldn’t ask for more. Know that they are stretchy as advertised, not 100% cotton by any means. But, very, very comfy. Big men take note here. We love our slightly stretchy waist bands. And this one is nice. There’s just enough room in the rear end too, but I have a lot of rear end. These are generally so comfortable I hardly notice I have them on. They’re more like a soft polyester gym short than dress denims. And the price here at my time of purchase is incredible. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This new version of these Dockers shorts still fit very well. What did the designers screw up? The back pockets used to be buttoned, now there are no buttons, making the shorts much less secure for one’s wallet. The cell phone pocket used to be well-placed ony the right front, and was deep enough for a cell phone. The new cell phone pocket is in the back of the shorts, is not long enough for a cell phone, and is covered by my belt, making it totally unusable. Finally, they added a zippered pocket on the right front which gets in the way of the regular pocket, is too short for a cell phone, and has no particular reason to be there at all. All in all, someone took a classic shorts design and bollixed it up.

I now own 3 pairs of these shorts. Pembroke (blue), British khaki, and gray. They are extremely comfortable and have good pockets. I like the zipper pocket. Weirdly the gray ones have mesh pockets which aren’t as good, but overall still good shorts.

I have to agree with the other reviewer that the change in the “security pocket” makes it useless.
The older shorts have a “security pocket” inside the right front pocket. Basically, it’s two pockets in one. This allowed me to put my phone in my pocket along with my car keys and they were separated by cloth so I didn’t have to worry about my screen getting scratched.
The newer shorts have put the “security pocket” on the hip, so it’s slightly harder to reach. But they have also made it shallower, meaning that the average 6″ screen cell phone will not fit in the pocket. I’m not talking about one of those mini-tablet type phones, just your regular run of the mill smart phone size. I really don’t know what they are expecting us to “secure” in this pocket since it has no closure.
Yes, it still has two pockets on the right front, but they put a zipper on one. However, that zippered pocket is big enough for my cell phone, so I guess I’ll just leave that unzipped so that I have easy access to my cell phone. The main problem is that the zipper pull is very small and even holding the shorts in my hand and trying to unzip it too some doing, so I can’t imagine doing it while wearing them and doing it by touch alone. Thus the need to use that pocket with the zipper always open so that I can retrieve and answer my phone before it goes to voicemail.
Don’t get me wrong…on the whole these are great shorts. They are comfortable, well-wearing, tough little shorts that I will buy again when I lose more weight. I bought these because I lost enough weight that my old pairs are too big for me now. If your shorts can fall off you, unless you’re wearing a belt that is cinched pretty tight, then they are too big! And so this new order.
My suggestion would be to order one pair in a color you like and try them. Returning them was easy. (I ordered the next size down from my last pairs and had to return them because I had lost enough weight that I needed two sizes down!) If you like what you get, then go ahead and order more. I just bought four pairs and I’m very happy with my purchase. Especially since these are reasonably priced shorts, even for big and tall sizes. (Most of the time if you go above 2xl for any clothing they start to charge your ridiculous amounts of money, not so with these Dockers!)
