Very happy with these.
After reading the comments that they run a bit big, I ordered a 31 inch, rather than my normal 32 inch waist. They fit perfectly, nice and snug, unlike all the “old man shorts” out there (I AM an old man, but respectably stylish).
As mentioned in the comments, they are a little tighter in the rear, but since I have no butt whatsoever, these actually fit quite a bit better. If you’re lucky enough to have a lot of “junk in your trunk,” you might want to go with your regular waist size. What I like most is that these are TRULY slim fit, really, more skinny fit, and don’t have that horrible flowing skirt thing going on at the leg openings like most shorts do (see “old man shorts”.) I have really skinny legs, and this has always been a huge problem. These give you a nice silhouette, unlike everything so big, baggy, oversized and dumpy-looking.
Some people have mentioned the large white ZLZ patch at the back. Design-wise, it truly does look horrible. REALLY horrible. They’d be better off using a neutral like black or gray than this attention-grabbing, completely out-of-place white. I simply used a seam ripper and some patience to remove it. It was really strongly attached; I hope that’s a testament to all of the stitching on these shorts.
These are some of the best-fitting shorts I’ve ever owned.

5’10” 180 lb and 32 fits better than I expected for the price and I quickly grabbed another pair and a pair of jeans. If you like to show off a bit these should be your go to shorts.

Seem to be well-made and stretch nicely. The legs are slim as desired (I’m tired of M.C. Hammer legged shorts). That said, if you have much of a butt at all these will be tight. Not tight on your waist, tight on your butt. Would get one size bigger but then the waist would be much too big. I’m relatively slim and don’t have too much junk in the trunk but you’d need to be very slim to wear these.

I love these. Currently awaiting my third pair. Theyre comfortable and fit will. Some minor complaints though, as another reviewer said, the white tag on the orange pair is extremely tacky. I realize orange shorts are tacky enough but it just doesn’t look good at all. The tag on the black pair is black but was falling apart put of the bag. I can live without those though. The only real complaint is how much hair these things attract, so if you’re a fluffy pet owner definitely invest in a lint roller if you haven’t already. I noticed the tag said the suggested msrp for these were 89.99, and I found that hilarious. But for 25 bucks these things are definitely worth it.

I ordered a pair of these to try and they are the most comfortable shorts I own! I ordered them in black (ripped) but didn’t really want too much ripped parts – the first pair I got were not ripped at all! Perfect fit, look good, so I ordered a second pair. The second pair is a much more worn color (not just straight black) and has rips.
I just wish it was consistent, because I really just wanted another pair like the first ones I received… But now I’m going to look at their long jeans too because they are so comfortable!

I’m a big fan of these shorts! I have the black and the tan ones. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable. I’m a guy with thick thighs, so buying pants in general is hard, but these are great quality so far and have the perfect amount of stretch. Need to buy more!

Perfect fit to streamline the body. Unlike loose fitting shorts that look sloppy, these highlight your form all around. Super comfortable stretch and nice quality. As a heads up though, the Blue denim fit a bit smaller possibly because of the material. For example, 28 waist for me in black but returned the blue for 29 waist which is perfect now.

I bought the non-ripped one, in black. The picture depicts the cuff to be fitting around the thigh, but in reality, I can put 2 fingers between my leg, and the base of the shorts. And my legs aren’t that skinny!
Apart from that, they’re comfortable and reasonable well made.
OK…several months later – I thought the blue ones looked just right. But no. As per the last pair, the cuffs were NOT fitted, and in fact flared out like a pair of bell bottom jeans!
Returned.

I purchased the tan and orange shorts without the rips. I’m skinny… my legs are skinny. I expected these shorts to hug my thighs but they don’t… just a slight gap… not huge but not skin-tight as demonstrated by the model. So if you’re skinny like me and hate gaps in your leg openings like me, these are not quite what is pictured. They are better than what I can find elsewhere (but still not as skin-tight as Levi’s)… but I think I will keep them. And the orange is more faded in real life than the model’s pair.

I bought another pair size 34 because I wanted more room when sitting but then everything got more relaxed fit. Still more fitted and better than any Van’s brand. Reminds me of older Hurley or Kr3w brand shorts.
Definitely has a skater vibe. Most important reason is these are built tough.. I use them for crossfit style workouts… and now I will use them as work shorts.

This is the second pair of these shorts u have ordered I just love them too much. They are stretchy but don’t lose stretch and they fit perfect and tight in the legs like skiing shorts should. So hard to find good slim fit shorts that don’t get baggy or have tacky washes on them; this fit the bill! I’m normally a 36 but I get these in 34 as the stretch is good. So comfy!

These shorts are a blend of materials including a spandex like product. I hate baggy shorts & jeans, so these are certainly not baggy. Waist size is pretty true & material stretches if you need a little extra sizing. I own 4 pair of these but prefer the dark jean color. The black pair attracts too much lint. I’m satisfied with the purchase.

These fit so good!! I’ve been looking for slim fit shorts this year but the trend lately has been for companies to make clothes baggier because of the 90s stuff, but these are true slim shorts, nice and tight around the butt, just as it should be 😀

It’s so tough ordering clothes on Amazon.. it’s very hit or miss with sizing, fit and material.
These shorts, however, are PERFECT!
The length, fit, and material are all exactly what they look like in the picture. I’m a size 30 and these 30s fit perfectly. They’re even made with a little stretch so you can move around comfortably.

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised with these. Decent stretch, nice and slim, good length and easy to fold the bottom up (for that look). Only down sides are that the waist is a bit large and the white leather patch on the top. Who’s idea was white?? Good value for the money would recommend.

Far too large for advertised size. I ordered a size down expecting to run large, but I’m even swimming in those. (I normally wear a 34 or 36, and I ordered a 32!!).
Also, the bottom of the shorts flare out. They are not tapered and tight to the skin. Would not recommend these shorts. Material seems decent, but the garment’s cut and the advertised sizes are not right.

All the reviews I read told me to size up but I like my jeans noice and toite(especially stretchy boys) so I ordered me “true size”, 36W and they ended up being two sizes too big so I ordered a 32W and they are perfect! Nice deep pockets and good stretchy denim! I will definitely be ordering more.

I use these for work and I wear them five days out of the week and they typically last me about six months before they rip. I wash them every day after work so that may be a factor in the breakdown.

Super comfortable! Nice and slim and form-fitting but very stretchy. I hemmed them up a few inches but they hit my knee originally. They are also very soft and don’t attract lint and hair like some fabrics. I will very likely be getting another color as well. Because they are so strechy, the size I usually wear was a tad too big. I have to wear a belt. No big deal.

I’ve purchased other zlz pants and loved ’em so I decided to give their shorts a try. The ones I purchased were a different fit than their skinny-stretchy jeans. The shorts fit me a little too big (leaving extra space in the waist and in the leg openings). Im going to try a size down, hopefully that’ll help.
