- 1) Q: Does these shorts have mesh liner or not?
A: No. Our women’s board shorts don’t have mesh liner and are just quick-dry shorts.
They can be worn as a bikini cover-up to protect you from harmful sunlight.
- 2) Q: What is the length of the inseam and overall?
A: Approximately, the inseam is 2.5″ and the out-seam is 8.5″ which depends on different sizes.
The shorts will fit you above the knee.
- 3) Q: Is the waistband elastic?
A: Yes. The waistband is elastic and also the drawstring can adjust the waistband. If the shorts are large, you can tighten them with the string.

So the shorts don’t exactly look like what was in the photo, but they still look nice. Like some of the other posters, I got shorts that were basically just orange and navy, not fun and rainbowy like the picture shows.
They fit really well and appear to be really well made. My only complaint is that most men’s trunks include more fitted lining for privacy… these do not. Basically they fit just like regular athletic shorts. It kind of makes me want to wear underwear under them though.

So cute! It’s a fitted pair of boardies great for water sports – I scuba dived in these for a week and it provided all the movement I needed in water. If you plan to walk around with them I’d suggest ordering a size up. It’s quite short, like just over my booty short, which i liked.

Not awful, not my favorite, good for a quick throw on to do yard work, or getting in a quick boat ride. There is no liner which I liked about them, they just don’t flatter the lower belly area, but again, not awful, just not my best purchase. I love the color and pattern, I got the coral ones. I usually wear a size 6 pant and dress, but got these in an 8 as others suggested and they seem to fit ok. For reference, I am 5’3 135 lbs 41” hip 31” waist 36B.

These were so cute! But they were too small. I ordered a size up based on all the reviews. I typically wear a women’s Lg, or 12 pant. So I sized up and ordered an XL for these shorts and they were WAY too snug and I had to return them. Im bummed that thats the largest size they carry as I would have loved to order a size larger.

I really wanted to like these swim shorts but they are just not for me. They were a little tight around my larger thighs but I don’t think sizing up would help because the material is just not stretchy at all. They feel a little restricting. If you are looking for a snug pair of swim shorts, these are a good option, but for something more roomy, these were not for me.

I’m 150lbs, 5’2″, with thick thighs and a small waist. It is HARD to find something that will fit me. Most are tight in the leg and too big in tht waist. These are just perfect.
I thought they’d be a little shorter than they are and I’m pleasantly surprised that they’re longer than I expected!

Bought these for the a vacation to the Caribbean and wind up wearing them to the beach and as shorts to sleep in. They are comfortable and fit as expected. There is no mesh liner or anything so you want to wear them on top of a bathing suit bottom or with underwear. The colors are great and just as pictured. I’m about 160lbs, 5’3” and I ordered the 12/XXL. I probably could have gone one size down, but they fit fine.

This product should be longer in the x large size to cover the bottom. I normally don’t have an issue fitting into the correct sized clothes. I mean my body is average distribution so my bottom fits into pants of the correct size – pattern on these pants needs to increase the back coverage in larger sizes. There is more to a plus size than increasing the waist size – we are bigger up and down too…bigger bottoms need more fabric around and up and down…. I think this fits bad even if it was marked “miss x large”
I am going to keep it because it is for the beach and cute anyway – but I would not buy again.

So, first off, these are very nice shorts. They are a nice material and they would be great for super hot weather. That being said, they run large. I read the reviews on here and ordered up, which ended up being a huge mistake. There is no elastic in the waistband, so just pulling the cords tight enough to keep them on my butt bunches up the fabric terribly. They also aren’t as bright as advertised. The orange, which looks nice and neon bright, is actually a much more muted pumpkin orange. All in all, I’m returning them because they are huge, but I won’t be exchanging them for a few sizes down because of the muted colors. Nice material though, and were I to not have something specific that I am trying to match, I might have ordered a different size….

Bought these to wear on the beach. I haven’t tried them in the water yet but I’m sure it’s just like every other swim short. What I can speak to is how comfy these shorts are. Wore them around for awhile after getting them and they are as comfy as any athletic short you can get. The back pocket is nice and deep. The only downside I found was no front pockets. Not a deal breaker though.

I haven’t be happy about clothes on Amazon for a long time. But this shorts makes me so happy that i want to write a review for it. And also, i bought two extra different colors! I am going to a lakeside house with friends that im not super comfortable with wearing swimsuits. This is athletic and good for swim and running and just in the house. my regular size is S. i bought this M, it’s totally works. but i ordered another in Small and another in M. fabric is good!!!!! it’s soft. Try it! it’s really cute and comfortable.

Came quickly, dry fast as expected of a board short. The pattern was cool and looks like the photo. My dislike is the waistband is a little uncomfortable but due to the front having so much ruching it gives the appearance of a roll under the waistband. Not flattering for me. For size reference I’m 5’1”, 150#, typically wear 4-8 depending on brand. I got a size 8 and they got well.

They’re great fitting shorts for booty’s. Reviews said size up (I’m normally an 8) so I went with a size 10 and they fit pretty well, just a tad loose around the waist but has drawstrings. Great for water shenanigans

I’m constantly the pool or beach and need board shorts that I can wear regularly. These are nice shorts and have a good stretch to them. I’m usually size 10-12, I first ordered a size 12 and it was huge, returned it for a 10 which fits but I probably could’ve even gone down to an 8. Drawstring feels sturdy and there’s 1 back pocket that closes with Velcro. Recommended!! I’d get another pair in a different design.

decent shorts. Would not use them really for running or working out…they’re maybe a little short for that and the material feels like it’ll be hot. Dries ok, material is thicker than a running short, but more technical feeling than jean shorts.
One pocket on the back and good draw string. They’re short, cute, comfortable, and good enough for home shorts/beach shorts.

I absolutely LOVE the print of these board shorts. I followed the sizing guide and they fit as well as I think they can. I would be afraid to go up a size and have them be too big. They were a little tight to get over my hips, but once I did they fit my waist perfectly. There’s not a lot of stretch in the elastic waist. They are a little too tight on the front of my thighs, but I’m not a size 2, either. They fit perfect in the bum.

Dislike: The colors are not what I expected based on the description. They are very dark and muddy with a lot of dark green and dark mustard/yellow color. I understand no two are the same, but I was expecting brighter and vibrant colors like the pictures shown. I may return and try again and hope for different color combo.

If you like Hurley product this a less expensive alternative and ideally the same fit and material. I was impressed. I purchased a medium because I like to wear them on my hips, not my waste.
